#SoulsNotShows 2018 Mission Outreach

Every artist wants to share his craft – whether secular or Christian, the same holds true. The difference is in the motive. For me, it’s about so much more than the music. The music is just a tool . . . The motive is to be able to share the reason for my hope in Christ with the audiences with which I come into contact. That’s why this year, I’m going to take to the road for #SoulsNotShows.

Music is the language of the spirit. It can change the world because it can change people. Where mere words fail, music speaks. Music is one of the greatest gifts and tools that God has given us; yet, it is just that – a tool. Music does not replace our need for God; rather, it helps us to grow closer to Him.

The #SoulsNotShows 2018 Mission Outreach is intended to be one part music, one part service and one part relationship building. Beyond the music, my heart is to connect with people and build relationships that last. I intend to serve the community within my reach directly, intentionally and lovingly through fellowship and with humility.

So this year, in partnership with MoveIn.to and the Extreme Tour, I will be venturing into communities that are overlooked and under-served. We will impact at-risk and counter-cultural people with a message that they can not only relate to; but, that they may also find inspirational and filled with hope. This is very much a “search and rescue” mission; and, it is so much more than just music alone!

This outreach will be conducted in segments: In August, I will be returning to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to the Lowertown community to serve with MoveIn.to at their annual Block Party and Outreach event. In October, I will be traveling with the Extreme Tour throughout the Southwest United States to serve in the cities of Banning, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Kingman, AZ, Prescott, AZ and Phoenix, AZ.

To be clear, this is a mission trip –  not a concert tour; and, as with any mission trip we will be volunteering our time, talents, and skills to serve the people of the communities that we will visit. And while MoveIn.to and the Extreme Tour are both providing resources that enable me to participate, I still could use your help to make up the difference. At the moment, I still need to come up with around $1200 in order to supplement what my partnering organizations are already providing. That amount covers airfare, ground transportation from the airport to the staging area and 50 bibles (25 in French and 25 in Arabic) to be distributed during the Canadian segment.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me as well to bring the gospel to a people who are seeking hope? If you feel lead to help me raise these supplemental funds, you can go to my Pledge Music page to find out how. If you are unable to support financially, please pray with me for God’s provision and that He would be glorified during this trip. If you have ever contributed anything to my ministry in the past, I am not asking you for anything more than just your prayers as well. But in all cases, would you please consider sharing this need with friends, family or anyone that you think might have a heart for reaching the overlooked and under-served? I am both honored and humbled by your support.

Thank you so much for sharing in this opportunity to go out and impact people for the kingdom. I can’t wait to get out to serve and fellowship on this #SoulsNotShows 2018 Mission Outreach! Thank you in advance for your consideration and I hope to see you soon!
