Chican’s Choice Top 10 Repeat Offenders For 2012
Once again, I am humbled and honored that “The Gemini Effect” has made the cut on an elite list of prime bars/verses for 2012 according to Chican’s Choice! I am blessed to have two entries from “The Gemini Effect” to appear on the list.
Coming in at No. 4 from the song “Love Music II“: Praverb’s verse: “THE MARKET IS COLLAPSING, NO MARKET FOR EMCEES/ SO I’M BACK TO THE CORNFEILD, TO HARVEST THESE SEEDS”. From my verse: “BRING YOUR SKILLS TO THE TABLE/CAUSE YOU’RE A LEGEND OR YOU’LL END UP AS A FABLE”.
Peaking at No. 1 from the song “The Gemini Effect” featuring J. Hakeem, bars from J. Hakeem’s second verse: “MY WORDPLAY IS EMBERS, AND YOU GONNA NEED A BLENDER/ TO DILUTE THE POTENCY, SERVE THEM LIKE BARTENDERS/FACING A HARD WINTER WHILE RAPPERS HIBERNATING I’M IN THIS COLD WORLD SEARCHING FOR A THAWED DINNER I’M HEATING UP”.
Not bad for a project that just kind of happened spontaneously. But, the list of repeat offenders features some of the nicest lines from some of the nicest emcees in rotation. Also gracing the list are bars from Armond, Nomis, Procyse and Conquest.
