One Nation . . .
Without God . . .
Divided . . .
With subjugation . . .
And forsaking Justice for All . . .
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your word professes, “Blessed is the nation whose God is Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Well, it’s pretty obvious that America is becoming a Godless nation. How arrogant are we, that you – time and time again – have blessed us, and delivered us from evil; yet, we continue to push you further and further away? But when we are faced with evil, instead of turning to you – we blame you . . . . if you punished Israel for her arrogance by allowing her to become enslaved, I can only imagine the fate of America for our transgressions.
Father God, I pray for a spirit-led and spirit-filled revival in this country. I pray that You do what You must so that we, as a nation, will seek You once more. The only way to restore America is through You!
May our leaders be humbled by Your presence. May our hearts be filled with a burning desire to know You. May we be obedient to what is Your truth – written for us in Your Word.
For those of us who are living for You every day, grant us the boldness to buck the status quo and publicly proclaim the name of Jesus! “Thy Kingdom come,” Father God, “Thy will be done.”
