[God Willing] I’m Going on Tour!!!
Back in mid-May, I took a leap of faith and went to Nashville to participate in an event known as The Objective 2016. In a nutshell, this was a four day audition/interview to participate in The Extreme Tour 2016 . . . When I tell you that the expereince changed my entire perspective when it comes to music as a ministry, I am not doing the event any justice! But, what happened at The Objective is a story for another blog post . . . .
As a result of my participation in The Objective, I have been selected for inclusion on the roster for the 2016 Extreme Tour! As it stands, I am looking to participate in the Southeastern U.S. leg of the tour as well as an overseas leg in either Japan or Russia. The details and dates are still being hashed out; but for now, it looks as if I will be on the road from early to mid-August through the end of September.
I am really excited about this opportunity, not only because it will give greater exposure to my music and its message; but also because, as a part of the tour, we get to be hands-on in serving/loving communities that often times get overlooked or neglected. I have always believed that the music is just a tool – and with my participation in The Extreme Tour, I get to use that tool to open hearts and minds to the hope we have in Jesus, while (hopefully) making a lasting and tangible difference in the lives of those who we will serve along the way.
I am finding out quickly that there are a lot of details and preparations required in order to pull off a tour; and to be honest, I am going to need all of the help that I can get to make this happen. For now, please keep me and the tour lifted in prayer – and then stay tuned about ways that you can help!
